Scheduling shouldn't be a Sunday evening job

In many businesses the rota is still made in a spreadsheet, with availability scattered over a group chat, loose messages and whatever someone shouted on the floor. Whoever makes the rota loses hours every week to puzzling, checking back and correcting. And then it only starts: who worked what, what goes to the bookkeeper?

Most of that work isn't judgement but checking: can this person then, do they have the role, do they stay within their hours, does the law allow it, do the hours match the rota? That is exactly the work software does better and faster than a person. The judgement, who you want standing next to whom tonight, stays yours.

We choose boring, reliable technology and well-known suppliers for hosting, database, payments and email. We use AI only where it really saves time, for reading a staff list or old rotas, and never to decide who works when. We don't promise anything the product doesn't do. If something isn't in it, such as payslips or a point-of-sale integration, we say so.
